不可数名词被动语态用are还是is
不可数名词用is。不可数名词属于单数，不过两个不可数名词用and连起来，就成复数要用are了。不可数名词一般可视为单数,如Time is money中的time.针对food一词,在The food in the fridge IS not enough一句中用单三,但在These kinds of food WERE never available when she was young中,虽然food为句子的逻辑主语,但语法主语为kinds,kind可数,所以谓语be跟随kind的复数形式kinds变成were。
data作主语的时候是单数还是复数
许多语法书都堂而皇之地说data已经是复数了，后面如果是be动词用are或者were，如果是其他动词则用复数形式，甚至于全国英语专业8级考题也是这么认为的。然而实际上data是datum复数形式，但是，其谓语动词根据实际情况既可以使用复数形式，也可以使用单数形式。尤其，data作“(储存在计算机中的)数据资料”解时是不可数名词。
